Preston Kieschnick, my son, was born on February 24, 2009 with Transposition of the Great Arteries! TGA is where the pulmonary and aorta arteries are switched, therefore sending the wrong blood through the body!! At three days old he had open heart surgery to correct the main arteries along with all the coronary arteries attatched!!! He came out wonderfully and you wouldn't be able to tell there was a thing wrong with him!!! I am blessed to be able to run this race for such a wonderful charity that raises money for the awareness of diseases of the "HEART"! It is for sure dear to mine!! I hope that my story and many others from this website touch your heart and you are able to give!
