The first fundraiser to set the newly formed Foundation on its path was the 2006 Chevron Houston Marathon.

Ron Dale ran this one solo under the hope that 100 friends and family members would pull together and donate $1 for each mile covered.

Well, that goal was met within 12 hrs. And ended at over
$700 PER MILE
TOTALLING $18,350
